Which Patriot Payroll plan do I need?

It depends on what your business requires. Multi-state payroll, contractor payments, time tracking and similar needs are only on some tiers. The calculator picks the cheapest plan that meets your requirements and tells you which requirement ruled the others out.

Basic Payroll does not file payroll taxes ("Full Service Payroll: everything in Basic Payroll, plus federal, state, and local tax filings and deposits" implies Basic does not). Both tiers do include year-end W-2/1099 filing per a separate, unqualified statement. Fastest direct deposit confirmed is 2 business days ("4-day and 2-day (for qualifying customers)"), so next-day-direct-deposit is marked unavailable on both tiers. The $12 additional-state fee is billed monthly per the source wording, though the page does not use the word "monthly" explicitly. This is worth re-confirming on the next refresh.
